    Description

This antique Chinese embroidery is 17.5” tall and 11” wide.  It has a slightly bendable stick through the top, perhaps bamboo.  The main image is signed, showing two people and a tiger.  The border is purple with white and pink flowers and butterflies in the corner.  The top has a beautiful lotus flowers, and there are also thin discs sewn onto the background.  Some of the border design and what makes up the vines of the plants are made of something different than silk thread.  Looking at some of the breaks in it, it looks like a thin silver colored paper wrapped around thread.
The condition overall is pretty good.  There is a thread loose in the pink pants of the man crawling on the ground, and a “catch” in the silk thread about an inch below him.  The back has a dirt stain.  The rest isn’t perfect, but nothing you wouldn’t notice unless you were looking for tiny blemishes.
